Free Sample Support

Free masterbatch samples can normally be prepared based on a Pantone color number, physical color sample or molded plastic part.

Free masterbatch samples can normally be provided for qualified projects. International courier costs are not included and will be confirmed separately.

If the required base resin is readily available in China and reasonably priced, we can normally source the resin for sample development. For expensive, specialty or customer-specific resins, the customer may need to provide the raw material.

Sample availability, quantity and shipping arrangements are confirmed according to the project.

Typical Dosage

A typical starting dosage is approximately 2%–4%.

The final dosage can be adjusted according to the required color depth, opacity, product thickness, base resin, processing conditions and customer preference. A higher dosage may be recommended when improved color coverage or uniformity is required.

Repeat-Order Color Consistency

Approved color formulations and key production parameters are recorded for repeat production.

When the formulation, raw materials, base resin and processing conditions remain consistent, repeat orders can normally be controlled within ΔE*ab 1.0 against the approved reference sample.

Changes in resin grade, resin batch, processing temperature, dosage, equipment or surface finish may require color reconfirmation.

Custom Color Development in 3–5 Working Days

For standard color-matching projects, initial color development can normally be completed within 3–5 working days after receiving the required color reference, base resin information and application details.

Colors can be developed from Pantone or RAL references, physical samples or molded plastic parts. CIELAB ΔE*ab measurement can be used where a measurable color tolerance is required.

Approved formulations and key production parameters are recorded to support stable repeat production. Final color consistency also depends on the customer’s resin, processing temperature, dosage, equipment and surface finish.

Color Measurement

Measured Color Matching

Color difference can be evaluated using CIELAB ΔE*ab during sample development and color confirmation. Tolerance requirements vary depending on the resin, product structure, surface finish, processing method and customer standard.

Typical agreed color tolerances may fall within a ΔE*ab range of 0.5–1.5, depending on the product and customer requirements. Final tolerance and measurement conditions are confirmed with the customer before mass production.

Common questions before sample development

Can you match Pantone colors?

Yes. Customers may provide a Pantone code as a reference, and we will discuss resin type and application conditions before sampling.

Can you work with our resin grade?

Yes. Please share the resin type and material grade/model so the sample can be developed around your processing conditions.

Can you prepare samples before bulk production?

Yes. Sample development and customer trial testing are part of the suggested matching process.

Can the color be adjusted after trial testing?

Yes. After trial feedback, the color can be confirmed or adjusted before bulk production.
